If you are worried about having to pay a fee for our service, we are happy to let you know that in the vast majority of cases we do not charge for our services. Mortgage lenders in Canada pay us what is known as a Finders Fee for placing your mortgage with them. Fees in Canada vary, but typically on a 5 year mortgage a broker will earn between 1/2 a percent to 1 percent of the final mortgage amount that the lender funds.

Lenders do not add this cost to your mortgage, and they do not increase your rate to cover this. A mortgage originated through Haystax is much sought after by lenders for their quality, and with lower overhead costs, lenders are happy to pay a finders fees to mortgage brokers.
