Paul Therien - Founder, President and CEOPaul has over 27 years executive experience in financial services. Paul’s most recent role as a national brand leader with Centum Financial Group Inc, a franchised organization with over 3000 mortgage agents across Canada, placed him firmly in the ranks of industry leadership. He is one of the most awarded and recognized leaders in the mortgage industry and is the only person to be included in the Canadian Mortgage Professionals Hot List five times from 2013 until 2017. In January of 2015 he was named an Industry Icon for 24 years of service and influence in the mortgage industry and is the first national brand leader to have received this distinction. He has a wealth of leadership experience in the corporate world and as a consultant to organizations seeking to advance and modernize their businesses.  

In 2011, Paul was recognized internationally for his contribution to human rights and equality and was inducted to the Order of the Maple Leaf. In 2016, he was awarded the Canadian Mortgage Award (CMA) for community service as well as the Canadian Mortgage Brokers Association (CMBA) award for community service. He is the Founder and Chairman of the Q Hall of Fame, Canada’s national LGBTQ+ Human Rights recognition program, sits on the board of the Millenia Scope Entertainment Foundation, and is a director at large for the Empress of Canada Foundation.

Melissa Rideout – Chief Compliance OfficerMelissa has over 15 years experience as a mortgage broker and holds a broad understanding of the Canadian mortgage marketplace and regulatory environment. She is deeply respected by our lender partners for her understanding of the complexities of mortgage lending, offering a perfect fit for the adjudication and client service of the Haystax.

Molly Turner – Chief Financial OfficerMolly Turner spent the first half of her career working in the private sector, primarily in a variety of small businesses. She then worked with the Alberta Provincial Government at a senior and executive level in the areas of finance, human resource management and administration. Her key responsibilities included: operations management, including budgeting, finance and contract management; and human resource management services.

Ted Wood – Director of TechnologyTed has been working for over 20 years in technology, specializing in data integration, process management, and online development. He is an experienced programmer, engaged in the creation of new, future-proof technologies, working with cutting-edge protocols to establish new frontiers.
